"The color is a deep black cherry and opague. In the nose there are hints of leather, violets, pepper and a slight hint of mocha. This wine is full bodied with excellent balance, great structure and firm tannins. The tannins are like liquid velvet. There is great complexity and layers of flavor followed by a long, lingering finish. This wine will really show its best in 3 to 10 years."

In the hills high above Napa Valley sits a vineyard that defines the word special. The Stagecoach Vineyard is one of the most exciting vineyards to be developed in the last 100 years in California. It is situated at the end of Soda Canyon Road at an elevation ranging from 1100 to 1700 feet above sea level. The neighborhood is home to many special vineyards including Atlas Peak, Bryant Family, David Arthur and Dalla Valle.
Jan Krupp and his team are passionate about growing great grapes and their commitment and enthusiasm shows up in the quality of wines coming out of this amazing vineyard. Carved out of the volcanic flow from Mount Saint Helena, the soil is red, orange and brown and littered with stones. Jan and his crew have carved out thousands of tons of boulders to create this vineyard. We feel fortunate to be part of the handful of wineries working with this amazing fruit. Enjoy!
