"The nose is showing leather, spice, pepper, black fruit and a hint of
violets. On the palate, it is tight and structured, powerful and
intense with great complexity and flavor. The tannins are quite evident
but in balance. The finish is long and full and goes on and on.
Patient cellaring will be rewarded."

The Unti Vineyard is quietly emerging as one of the best in California—or anywhere for that matter. The vineyard is located in Dry Creek Valley just northwest of Healdsburg, California. George Unti and his family are passionate about growing great wine grapes and their enthusiasm shows in the quality of wines coming out of this wonderful vineyard.

George relies on traditional farming techniques while incorporating the latest technology and innovations. His experimentation with new clones and high density planting continues to yield impressive results. We feel fortunate to work with George and his family and are continually impressed with the dedication and passion with which they farm.
