“…has a dark, opaque color. While it reveals very little in the nose at this stage, there are hints of blackberries, violets, leather, spices and a touch of smoke. It is full bodied and intense with excellent balance. There is great complexity and flavor followed by a long, lingering finish. This wine will continue to develop for years and will reward patient cellaring.”

The Unti Vineyard is quietly emerging as one of the best in California—or anywhere for that matter. The vineyard is located in Dry Creek Valley just northwest of Healdsburg, California. George Unti and his family are passionate about growing great wine grapes and their enthusiasm shows in the quality of wines coming out of this wonderful vineyard.

George relies on traditional farming techniques while incorporating the latest technology and innovations. His experimentation with new clones and high density planting continues to yield impressive results. We feel fortunate to work with George and his family and are continually impressed with the dedication and passion with which they farm.
